FAQ’s

  • Through the Greener Homes Grant initiative, you can claim up to $600 from the government as a maximum contribution towards the total cost of your pre- and post-retrofit EnerGuide evaluations. This will be added to your total grant amount at the end of the process. The pre- and post-retrofit evaluations must be paid for at the time of service.

  • A Pre-retrofit evaluation needs to be completed prior to retrofits being installed. Any retrofits completed before the first assessment will not be eligible for the grant.

  • Through the Canada Greener Homes Grant initiative, homeowners can update their mechanical systems with the eligible retrofit installation of an Air Source, Ground Source and Domestic Hot Water Heat Pump systems or the installation of a smart thermostat.

There are no federal rebates for Furnace replacements, Hot Water tank, or Air Conditioning unit/ systems. Click Here to see the full list of Eligible Retrofit products.

  • The grant amount through the federal program is per rough opening and is dependent on the efficiency of the window. It offers up to $125 or $250 per window when the efficiency standards are met.

Please carefully review the grant amounts and eligibility criteria before applying for the program.

  • In the first assessment you will receive a Blower Door test used to determine the level of your home’s airtightness, a detailed onsite data collection of your home, and delivery of your personalized Homeowner Information Sheet, EnerGuide Label, and Renovation Upgrade Report which will outline the potential retrofits you are planning to complete along with our professional recommendations.

During the second evaluation, we will retest your homes airtightness levels with a second Blower Door Test, collect all the necessary information from the retrofits completed, and verify each retrofit completed.
